A Brief History

Golden Gate Obstetrics and Gynecology, Inc is a long established practice that was originally started in 1939 by a husband and wife team, Drs. Lois Holmes Brock and Harold G. Watson.  Lois Holmes Brock was one of the first women physicians in the San Francisco Bay Area.

In 1954 Dr. Gilbert A. Webb joined the couple and continued the practice when they retired.  Over the next 40 years, along with his partners Drs. William K. Graves, James Westberg, and W. Gordon Peacock, Dr. Webb built a prestigious practice dedicated to the care and treatment of women, and the education of medical students and residents.

Today the providers at Golden Gate Obstetrics and Gynecology remain committed to the goals and the standards of excellence of the founding physicians.
